004: WTWTA

Sat Oct 24, 2009, 9:33 AM
Usually, I don't get too excited about new movies, but ever since they announced they were making Where the Wild Things Are into a movie around a year ago, I was *psyched*! I finally went last night and saw it, and although I'd memorized the book inside and out when I was younger, the movie was extremely original and I thoroughly enjoyed it :) It had a darker feel around it, but it was whimsical, too, and I can say with certainty that it's become one of my favorite movies, right up there with August Rush :3

So, yes - although this movie has been proclaimed "hipster" and "mainstream", and whatever else people feel like categorizing it as, it's unlike any other movie I've ever seen. So I recommend it :P

Now I'll be stuck waiting for The Last Airbender, though ... another movie to wait agonizingly long for :( I've been reading the Sword of Truth series in the meanwhile and waiting for the second season of Legend of the Seeker, but I'm on the last book ;_; Whatever will I do? Suggestions?

  • Mood: Euphoric
  • Listening to: Wake Up : : Arcade Fire
  • Reading: Confessor by Terry Goodkind
  • Watching: WTWTA commercials

Es siempre lo mismo. Complaciente tortura mientras me dejo caer profundamente en un trágico amor. Es un rasgo masoquista, pero parece mi único alimento.
